Originally on Team Usher, the former NFL cheerleader lost to Bria Kelly on Janis Joplin's "Piece of My Heart," and was stolen by Team Blake — only to lose to Jake Worthington on John Hiatt's "Have a Little Faith in Me." After being stolen again by Team Shakira, she secured a finalist spot by showing vocal versatility on Christina Perri’s ballad "Human" in the playoffs.
Kristen Merlin
The openly gay singer is the only country competitor not under Shelton’s wing, as she quit the corporate career life to pursue music and auditioned with Sugarland’s "Something More.” After Shakira promised to call in Miranda Lambert as a guest mentor, Merlin growled her way through the battles and rocked Carrie Underwood’s “Two Black Cadillacs” to become a finalist.
Dani Moz
The powerful singer put her public relations career on pause to speed through the battles on Emeli Sande's "My Kind of Love" and Pink's "Perfect." At the playoffs, she played the piano while growling on a stripped-down version of Lady Gaga’s "The Edge of Glory," earning a finalist spot on Shakira's team.
Team Blake
The three-time winner enters the live shows with two country singers and a soulful powerhouse.
Audra McLaughlin
Though she grew up with a learning disability, the aspiring medical assistant touted her country sound on John Prine's "Angel From Montgomery" with confidence, and beat out a duo in a battle on Linda Ronstadt's "When Will I Be Loved." Her emotional commitment carried her through a second battle on Miley Cyrus' "The Climb" and her playoffs pick, Martina McBride's "A Broken Wing."
Jake Worthington
Like Choice, Worthington also unsuccessfully auditioned for season five, but the high school senior made it through on Keith Whitley's "Don't Close Your Eyes." Though he flubbed the lyrics when battling on Thomas Rhett's "It Goes Like This, he brought a winning growl and a believability to John Hiatt's "Have a Little Faith in Me," and dedicated Jake Owen's "Anywhere With You" to his longtime girlfriend in the playoffs.
Sisaundra Lewis
Formerly Celine Dion's vocal director for five tours, Lewis won over all four judges when auditioning with Aretha Franklin's "Ain't No Way." She then brought major high notes to the Lady Gaga-R. Kelly "Do What U Want" duet and a twist in the lyrics of James Brown's "It's a Man's Man's Man's World, and effortlessly impressed on Billy Joel's "New York State of Mind" for a finalist spot.
Team Usher
The returning coach enters the live shows with a blues rocker and two soulful singers.
Joshua Kaufman
The tutoring family man full of vocal tricks won over all four coaches with George Michael's "One More Try,” and initially joined Team Adam. Though he won his battle on Pharrell’s “Happy,” he was stolen by Usher after barely losing a battle to Delvin Choice on Stevie Wonder’s "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours,” and won a finalist spot after adding a gospel sound to Bruno Mars' "It Will Rain."
Bria Kelly
The personable, teenage blues rocker auditioned with James Taylor's "Steamroller Blues" with big raspy notes, impressing all four judges. Janis Joplin's "Piece of My Heart"?was right in her wheelhouse for the battles, and got through to the playoffs after The Pretenders' "I'll Stand By You." She expertly rocked The Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses" for a finalist spot.
TJ Wilkins
The South Central performing arts grad first put a soulful spin on Elton John's "Bennie and the Jets" that intrigued Shelton, Levine and Usher. He came out on top when battling on The Temptations' "Aint' Too Proud to Beg," and showcased his ballad abilities on "Get Here"?by Oleta Adams. He then resembled Stevie Wonder on "Tell Me Somethin' Good" by Rufus and Chaka Khan.
Team Adam
The two-time champion goes into the live shows with musicians from three different genres — and no stolen singers.
Kat Perkins
The animated rocker chick grew up on a farm and was in the rock band Scarlet Haze, and dropped her nanny gig to audition with Fleetwood Mac's "Gold Dust Woman.” After choosing Levine as her coach over Shakira and Usher, she won battles on Kenny Loggins and Stevie Nicks’ "Whenever I Call You Friend" and KT Tunstall’s "Suddenly I See," and became a finalist with Journey’s “Open Arms.”
Delvin Choice
The singing Starbucks barista turned all four chairs when he auditioned – for a second time – with Donny Hathaway's "A Song for You." His powerful soul sound helped him sail through battles on Aloe Blacc’s “The Man” and Stevie Wonder’s "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours,” and earned a Team Adam finalist spot with Al Green’s "Let’s Stay Together."
Christina Grimmie
The 19-year-old YouTube sensation has over two million subscribers – and rightly so, as she turned all four chairs when she auditioned Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" ballad a few keys higher. Though the pop singer lost her footing in the first battle round, she impressed with her stage presence during a battle on OneRepublic’s “Counting Stars” and became a Team Adam finalist after performing Jason Mraz’s “I Won’t Give Up” in the playoffs.
